When I first knew that we were going to be working this semester with blogs, I was very surprised. First of all, I didn’t knew how the system worked, and what was it about, I had never visit a blog before, and didn’t knew what to expect, the only thing I had heard was that you or any other person could had a blog, for what? I didn’t know.
So I embarked in this adventure of making my own blog, and after I did that, I discovered a whole new thing that I never knew it existed.
I have to admit that there are some things I don’t rely like a about the blog system, but there are some things I do.
I don’t rely like how some people are to personal with the things they post. Why would you like to tell every one, even people you don’t now or have never met before something of your personal life?, or post pictures of you for them to see you doing what ever it is that you are doing. It just seems a little strange to me, if you what to talk about some thing in particular of some subject, like a movie, what’s happening in the world, political subjects, art, music, etc, I think that’s fine, but to talk abut your self and what’s happening in your life to people that don’t even know you, it’s a bit strange. I think that people that do that are people in need of some one to listen to them, because maybe they don’t have any one to talk to, or they just want attention.
After saying all of that, I do think that there are some good things about the blogs, that is that you can talk about a subject in particular and see what a person that you have never met before and that maybe is in another part of the world think about that, and to se that maybe his o her opinion is not that different that yours, in spite of living in different part of the world, you can have the same taste in music or art, or have the same opinion about a political subject, you are all connected.

Comment on a blog
I think Catalina Vivior’s blog is very interesting. In particular, I like her way of writing, I rely think that she has a talent in it, she kips you entertain and in suspense. All the posts are rely unique, and each one has a different but very similar way of telling the particular story or theme that they are based on. She also has some interesting pictures and even one poem, which I suspect that she also has a talent for not only writing stories but for poetry as well. I rely liked her blog I hope she continues on with her amazing writing.

Pride and Prejudice
A film I rely enjoyed watching and that I like very much its ¨Pride and Prejudice¨. The film is the adaptation of the book by Jane Austen. I saw it for the first time whit my boyfriend two years ago, and I fell in love whit it. Its about five sisters, one in particular named Elizabeth Benet, who is the main character in the story, she is a very intelligent woman, a character that has been analysed and loved by a lot of people for her complexion, but mostly she is a girl that wants what every girl wants, passion, love and to be valued. It is reflection of the society of that time and the roll of the woman in it. Besides the story, the movie has a great art direction, the shots and frames are rely spectacular, ever scene is vary carefully planed, being shot on location, the scenery of nature and architecture are absolutely amazing and a great contribution of the telling of the story, the romantic movement of architecture is all over the movie, being a reflection of that time a also a contribution of the feelings the film wishes to inspire. It’s a very special story told in a very special way.

Pucón
A place I really enjoyed visiting was Pucón, in the south of Chile.
I went there two years ago, the funny thing is that I ended up going two times I one summer. The first time I went there was in December whit my family: my grandparents, my parents, my two brothers and my sister whit her husband. There were nine of us, but we still mannish to fit all in one apartment in front of the lake. The view was beautiful you had first class tickets to the lake and the mountains sorrowing it. The town is really small, so you can walk to almost every were, and you can see the volcano steel whit sown, in spite being summer. Every day we used to go to the lake and stay there the entire day, and at night we walk al over town talking and telling stories.
The second time I went there were whit my friends in January. We went to a small cabin between pucon and Villarrica (another small town in the south, very close to Pucón), but still we had a great view of the lake, but there was now beach, just rocs, so we couldn’t bathe but we could lay down, still it was a lot o fun. We slept all morning, and in the afternoon we used to go to town and to the beach, which by the way it was whit black sand, very particular of that place.
I would love to go again any time.

Starry Night
The Starry Night of Vincent Van Gogh is an artwork that I have always like for as long as I can remember. I don’t remember exactly the firs time I saw it, but I think it was when I was twelve years old.
When I was almost nine years old, I started to get very interested I the art world, specifically painting, I wanted to do classes to learn how to paint, so I told my mom and she loved the idea, I ended up doing classes for almost six years, and it was in the middle of that time that I sow this painting and immediately it capture my attention. I love the way the sky moves, almost as if were real, but at the same time knowing that that sky could never be real, it’s a perfect sky in another world. The remarks of the stars and the moon also are very interesting, because it gives light to the painting, making the illusion that is a very bright night, like day light. The other interesting element is the tree, at firs I didn’t like it, I thought that it cover too much of the painting, but then I realise that it is crucial to the painting. To me it represents the feeling of wanting to reach for the stars, to feel that you can whet there and touch that beautiful sky.
For all of those things is why I find this painting so interesting, and why I like it so much.

The Victory City, the city of the future?
In this days there are a lot of cities that are failing in many areas, such as the transport system, the unstoppable growth of the city, the health system, etc. In our city, Santiago, Chile, we can see all of these problems, and the hardest thing is that they are very difficult to resolve.
The Victory City is supposedly a city of the future, but if you think about it, is conceived like an old city, not that big and whit big walls, almost for protection, from what? We don’t know. Besides that, the biggest problem is that the city is thought as a machine, a big factory, it even was an owner, and not as an organic element that evolves during time. It would be ideal too have a city that is contain in a space, but is rely difficult to do so, in stead it must be planed from the start as an element that can an will change, and to be prepared for this changes is the biggest challenge.

The Telly
My favourite piece of technology is the television.
When I was younger, we lived in a small hose, so the television was in the living room. Me and my brothers all set down together to watch our favourites shows, witch were almost all cartoons, it was a chance to laugh a imagine we where in a different place in a different time, but we could watch TV all day, my mom only allowed us to watch TV one hour a day, so we all waited anxiously for that time in the day.
Then, when I was sixteen my parents gave me a television to have in my bedroom, and I loved it, but I still didn’t watch al day long, just some times, mostly at the night.
Now days, I also love to watch TV when I can, is not like I am going die if I don’t watch it, but it allows me to relax and disconnect from the daily life and occupations, and it is also a way to now what is happening with the world and to find out the latest news. I still watch it mostly at night.
I think that the television is a very powerful toll to influent people, in a good way and in a bad way, but if you learn to moderate your self sense you are young, you could learn to use it in a good way, just to relax and to now more a about the world.
