Pride and Prejudice

A film I rely enjoyed watching and that I like very much its ¨Pride and Prejudice¨. The film is the adaptation of the book by Jane Austen. I saw it for the first time whit my boyfriend two years ago, and I fell in love whit it. Its about five sisters, one in particular named Elizabeth Benet, who is the main character in the story, she is a very intelligent woman, a character that has been analysed and loved by a lot of people for her complexion, but mostly she is a girl that wants what every girl wants, passion, love and to be valued. It is reflection of the society of that time and the roll of the woman in it. Besides the story, the movie has a great art direction, the shots and frames are rely spectacular, ever scene is vary carefully planed, being shot on location, the scenery of nature and architecture are absolutely amazing and a great contribution of the telling of the story, the romantic movement of architecture is all over the movie, being a reflection of that time a also a contribution of the feelings the film wishes to inspire. It’s a very special story told in a very special way.

Pucón

A place I really enjoyed visiting was Pucón, in the south of Chile.
I went there two years ago, the funny thing is that I ended up going two times I one summer. The first time I went there was in December whit my family: my grandparents, my parents, my two brothers and my sister whit her husband. There were nine of us, but we still mannish to fit all in one apartment in front of the lake. The view was beautiful you had first class tickets to the lake and the mountains sorrowing it. The town is really small, so you can walk to almost every were, and you can see the volcano steel whit sown, in spite being summer. Every day we used to go to the lake and stay there the entire day, and at night we walk al over town talking and telling stories.
The second time I went there were whit my friends in January. We went to a small cabin between pucon and Villarrica (another small town in the south, very close to Pucón), but still we had a great view of the lake, but there was now beach, just rocs, so we couldn’t bathe but we could lay down, still it was a lot o fun. We slept all morning, and in the afternoon we used to go to town and to the beach, which by the way it was whit black sand, very particular of that place.
I would love to go again any time.

Starry Night

The Starry Night of Vincent Van Gogh is an artwork that I have always like for as long as I can remember. I don’t remember exactly the firs time I saw it, but I think it was when I was twelve years old.
When I was almost nine years old, I started to get very interested I the art world, specifically painting, I wanted to do classes to learn how to paint, so I told my mom and she loved the idea, I ended up doing classes for almost six years, and it was in the middle of that time that I sow this painting and immediately it capture my attention. I love the way the sky moves, almost as if were real, but at the same time knowing that that sky could never be real, it’s a perfect sky in another world. The remarks of the stars and the moon also are very interesting, because it gives light to the painting, making the illusion that is a very bright night, like day light. The other interesting element is the tree, at firs I didn’t like it, I thought that it cover too much of the painting, but then I realise that it is crucial to the painting. To me it represents the feeling of wanting to reach for the stars, to feel that you can whet there and touch that beautiful sky.
For all of those things is why I find this painting so interesting, and why I like it so much.
